I've been off task for two whole days now and I feel bad about it, but I don't make any strides toward changing it. What the hell?
On the other hand, I finally got my critique back from my mentor and he had excellent advice. I need to think about what makes my urban fantasy world, different from all the others out there and expand on it. He also mentioned that I should be less cliche with my first scene and I totally agree. I see nothing wrong with stock characters as long as they feel real and can be developed. Granted, I haven't had time expand on any characters sense I've only written 3.5 chapters, but I'm starting to look forward to it.
Now, its time for some reflection and actual writing.
